Celebrating Summer with Family

Hi, everyone! I hope you’re all having a fabulous summer!

There’s so much to love this time of year—sleeping in, reconnecting with family, and spending lazy days by the pool. Not to mention planning a few getaways (more on that next month!).

By far, the best part for me is celebrating the summer with my family. The school year gets so busy so fast. It feels like our schedule is always so jam-packed. And while my workload doesn’t go down in summer, not having all the other commitments means I get to chill out with my husband and daughters or plan a weekend to visit family I don’t get to see often.

Not to say we don’t make lots of plans. In fact, the next two months might be just as packed as our school year schedule. But every single thing on our calendar has only one goal—fun!

So far we’ve seen a bunch of movies, visited family in their log cabin on a lake on the edge of the Adirondacks, and spent a rainy day playing board games. We’ll be doing some more traveling, taking in a Broadway show or two, and taking full advantage of the pool over the next few weeks. And I’m sure I’ll love every minute of it, as long as my family is right there with me.

How about you guys? How do you celebrate summer?

One other thing I have filling my schedule this summer—lots of new releases! If you haven’t had a chance to check out my Alaskan Den Men series yet, you can find book one here:

Bear to Want: Kodiak Den #1 (Alaskan Den Men)

Happy Reading!
